Service steps and timing
Each Kids Loc Maintenance appointment is scheduled for 60 minutes and priced at $100. During that time we assess the locs, perform careful maintenance to tidy and secure roots, and include a shampoo when appropriate. The focus is completing the service within the booked time while keeping the child comfortable.
Shampoo is included with maintenance, but please be considerate of your child's temperament; if your child will be distressed by a wash, feel free to bring them already clean. Our youngest clients are at least 2 years old, and the stylist will adjust pace, pressure, and communication to reduce stress during the visit.
Preparing your child for maintenance
Plan to arrive a few minutes early so a caregiver can share any notes about temperament or recent care. If the child tolerates washing poorly, arriving with hair pre-washed is acceptable. Bringing a favorite toy, book, or quiet device often helps children stay settled through the 60-minute session.

The appearance after maintenance depends on existing loc size and length, how recently they were tended, and how cooperative the child is during the visit. Locs that have been consistently maintained typically respond more quickly, while longer or fuller locs may require slower, more deliberate work within the same 60-minute window.
